Can anxiety develope through stress in work and relationships?
I feel like I have what people call anxiety. My heart beats really fast when I’m stressed it feels like a freakin hummingbird is in my chest and I get shaky and have trouble breathing at an even pace. I can’t focus and I’m constantly tired. I have trouble sleeping, staying asleep, and fully waking up when I need to. I’m going to go to my doctor and find out for sure but I also want to be sure this is what I have before I bring it to her. What causes anxiety?
Chosen Answer:
I have anxiety issues and they can be caused by many things. What you are experiencing sounds just like what I’ve been through. It isn’t always one thing or another that causes it but can be many things. Medication and therapy have been very helpful for me and I’m sure they would be for you too.
As for sleep issues your doctor should be able to help you with that. Everyone is different and finding ways to fall asleep at night is all about what you find most relaxing and what most helps you quiet your mind from the day.
It’s good you are realizing you have this problem now and are going to do something about it. The sooner the better. Anxiety can have affect you physically if left untreated. Besides headaches and sleep loss, I used to get sick often before getting help for my anxiety because anxiety weighs on your immune system and makes you less able to fight off sickness.
Tell your doctor exactly what you’ve told us here and I’m sure she’ll be able to help you. Good luck!

Yes! Stress can cause anxiety to many degrees. It can cause lack of sleep, heat strokes, fatigue, illnesses such as: flu, cold, etc. It is important to follow up with a Doctor when having anxiety.
I would research relief symptoms or see a Doctor for treatment.

The answer to your headline question is yes. Part of your doctor’s job is to help diagnose you, so I don’t know why you have to be sure about what your problem is called before you describe it to her. And yeah, it does sound like you have anxiety issues. It’s not at all uncommon. They make anti-anxiety medication, but there are many ways to try and help yourself relax. A big one is exercising during the day. The cause of an individual’s anxiety can be just about anything frustrating them. It can start physically and become a mental problem, or it can be the other way around.

Looks like anxiety or panic attack. Anxiety can be caused by severe stress in work and relatinship (or recalling past stressful or sad happenings); can also be caused by depression, hormonal imbalance, medical causes or side effects of certain drugs you may be taking for any current illnesses ie mental or physical. List all your medical problems as well as the medications you are currently taking, including supplements and vitamins for your doctor’s information. If your doctor can’t help much, please see a phychiatrist to diagnose and treat the problem.

Stress can cause anxiety. Eventually your mind will try to shut down the anxiety with depression. Work for what you want, but work doesn’t have to be stressful. Become more spiritual. It’s the ultimate anti-stress.
