How long does it take for 10mg of Valium to expire?

Tomorrow i have a very long powerpoint presentation. I have terrible crippling anxiety doing any type of public speaking and I am so nervous. My friend gave me a 10mg valium ( i looked it up on pill identifier to be safe) how long do they take to expire? I cannot get in touch with my friend. I am hoping it has some affect and it is not expired. so how long do they usually last for?

Are you asking how long until the actual pill is no longer good? Or how long the pill will last in your body. If you are asking how long it will last in your body it will be quite a while. Although I do not agree with taking your friends medication, if you are going to do it anyway, don’t take 10mg if you have never taken valium before. Break it in half and take 5mg. You may not want to do this before a speech because you don’t know how it is going to effect your body. Valium is a long acting Benzo and it will stay in your body for a couple days, but stop working after about 10 hours (it just depends on the person) If you are asking how long the pill is good for, well by law it is good for 1 year after it is dispensed from the pharmacy. After that I am sure it is still good for a year or so.

Good luck with your speech. Powerpoint is great because it will guide you along. Maybe you can give your presentation to your family or friends? Maybe give it in front of the mirror. The more you practice the easier it will be. Just remember, everyone in the audience is just one person that truthfully does not care about your presentation. Think of how you feel when you are watching everyone elses presentation. Just try to have fun. Also if you have your first few lines memorized that will help because you will be the most nervous when you first get up there.
