How do you determine a death by potassium when valium and alcohol were also involved?
How much potassium is needed to stop your heart? How much valium? How much alcohol?
Chosen Answer:
I would think the medical examiner would have the answers to these questions. They run all types of toxicology test which tell them how much of a substance was in the deceased’ blood. They also know the amounts of a substance it would take to stop a heart. If this is someone related to you, your family has the right to get this info from the M.E. office. Good luck. Some times you have to just come to the realization that you can’t help some people, and have to let them go, though I know it is much easier said then done.Best wishes.
