Chosen Answer:
Not too likely you would have a heart attack at 15.
DO see a doctor though, your symptoms “could” be something other than anxiety and they should check.
The symptoms you described are typical of anxiety though. The best treatment is always to find out what you are anxious about and talk to someone: a relative, friend, school counselor or therapist.
If it’s bad enough, they can prescribe medication for it but it’s best not to have to do that.
Once you recognize the anxiety is not going to harm you or interfere with your life it will usually go away on it’s own.
Keep up your sports. Exercise literally produces chemicals in your body that helps with anxiety.

there is probably nothing wrong but go get a check-up at the doctor just in case. there is probably nothing wrong the pain is probably exacerbated by your stress and hormonal levels. don’t panic, just breath, relax, and take to your parents or

i fully understand ur anxiety problems as i have it too. and what i suggets u do is talk to a counselor or doctor about it. try deep breathing chewing gum– the gum chewing is really helpful. but you should really talk to ur doc or counselor about it and see what they say from there. u may mot want to, but ur gonna have to eventually. if u need to talk to someoen feel free to email.
hope this helps u.

Oh god, this happens to me all the time. See a doctor for sure, he can reassure you that your heart is healthy. And tell him about your fear. He might prescribe medication. I take Klonopin when I have a panic attack and I try to practice distraction and breathing exercises and stuff too, but I know it sucks. I kind of believe that I’m going to die from a heart attack any day and I can’t seem to make that feeling go away completely.

Hey ashton, you are 15 and athletic. The chances of you having a heart attack are about 1 in one million. I don’t think you have anything to worry about as far as a heart attack goes. As for your anxiety I know hao you feel I was diagnosed with Generalized anxiety disorder at seven and I am now twenty three. Anxiety can make you worry and imagine some pretty crazy things, and I know it can be scary. I used to think things like that all the time when I was your age and I was a cheerleader, my friends thought I was loopy, but it was the anxiety disorder. Anyhow the sharp pains you are getting are more than likley growing pains, you are a 15 year old male and you are in the prime age of getting growth spurts. Ok so have you told your mom about this anxiety I think you should because it is something that can get worse and effect you for the rest of your life, I still get very anxious sometimes, but luckily my therepist put me on meds before it could get too bad. Anyhow I think maybe you should think about going and talking with a therepist, they can be really helpful in getting down to the root of your anxiety and helping you to fix it. I really hope this helps you hun, and don’t worry your not going to have a heart attack! Good luck to you.

Oh honey you poor thing. I have suffered with anxiety all my life since I was fifteen. Let me just say this one thing that I wish my mother told me when I was fifteen. IT CANNOT KILL YOU! Anxiety attacks are severe stress. I have learned to control mine. And the thing I do if I feel one coming on is stand up and walk somewhere (even if it’s just across the room), take deep breaths or get on the phone and ring someone and talk about anything….gets your mind off it. But if you sit and wonder about it, that’s what’s going to make them come back each time. You need to figure out what it is that triggers your anxiety attacks and then get some help controlling them. Good Luck sweetie.
