How many different types of anxiety is there? What is the symptoms for each?

Can someone have more then one type? Websites that list each would be great. I think I have anxiety so Im looking for more information about it.

Chosen Answer:

There are many different types of anxiety.
Personally I think the only way you can get correctly diagnosed if you have an anxiety disorder is to talk to your doctor or a psychologist, psychiatrist or counsellor about your symptoms.
If you’re wondering about anxiety disorders there are many different websites which can help you to learn about them such as Beyond Blue (http://www.beyondblue.org.au/index.aspx?link_id=90)
Anxiety disorders are characterised by their symptoms (eg, Trichotillomania is the compulsive twisting of hair til it breaks off).
Some common symptoms of anxiety are:
Shaking
Choking sensations
Lump in the throat or difficulty swallowing (Globus Hystericus)
Sensations of smothering or shortness of breath
Pains in chest
Fluttering heart or palpitations
Nausea or abdominal discomfort
Dizziness or unsteadiness
Fear of going crazy or losing control
Excessive sweating
Paresthesias (numbness or tingling sensations)
Cold chills or hot flushes
Light-headedness
Panic attacks are also a symptom of anxiety.

If you Google your most common symptoms you might find what you have (that’s what I did), then get it confirmed by a healthcare professional.
