How many mg of Valium can I take at once?
I am seriously nervous about an upcoming flight and my doctor gave me (5) 10mg of Valium. I took one and it didn’t make me feel any different, so now I’m really worried that it wont work on the flight. If I took 40mg at once before the flight do you think that would work?

The max recommended dose is 10mg 4 times daily. So 40mg would me the max daily dose but if you took it all at once you would be very dopey for many hours.You can’t really “feel” the effects, it would just help you relax and be calmer.

40 mg is way too much. 10 should be plenty. How long ago did you take one? It takes about 45 min to start working. Plus… Don’t you need some for the return flight?
