How to get rid of an anxiety disorder without meds or therapist?
I believe I have an anxiety disorder because I am constantly worrying, constant headaches, stomach pain from nerves sometimes, and I constantly think about everything I do wrong. I don’t want my dad to know or for him to worry so I don’t want to tell him. Please, how can I overcome this?
Chosen Answer:
There are many self-help books on the subject, most dealing with CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). If your condition is relatively mild, facing the sources of your anxiety head on and jumping into situations that normally cause hesitation and fearful obsessive thoughts may be enough to allow you to overcome them. Good luck.

Anexity is sometimes a serious issue. if you let anxiety take over or you don’t get it in control properly its highly likely that you will develop panic attacks. which you don’t want.
i’ve been in your shoes. no medicine and no therapy. i thought it would just go away. well it didn’t. i now have panic attack every night and unless you wanna feel like your literally dying every night or day then i highly suggest you at least go to some type of therapy.
if its caused by a chemical imbalance in your brain then no. its not possibly for it to go away on its own and even stress release exercises won’t make it go away.
you need to see someone.
dont let this run your life cuz stress will kill you.

Wise call on not consulting a therapist or taking prescription medication, they tend to make matters worse and turn something usually temporary into a chronic problem. To feel a relief you will need to adjust your lifestyle, the more details you can fine tune the better the results. Some of the techniques I found useful and try to engage in daily are:
Exercise – preferably aerobic exercise such as jogging. Exercise promotes the formation of new neural connections within hippocampus, which is a brain region involved in memory and cognitive tasks. Additionally hippocampus communicates with amygdala, the fear center of our brains. Exercise is quite universal ameliorating both physical and mental symptoms.
Supplements – BCAA, B-complex, Fish Oil, Zinc, Magnesium and many other minerals/vitamins and related supplements play an important role in mental illnesses. They mostly help lessen anxiety-induced confusion and fatigue.
Herbal remedies – kratom, skullcap, lactuca virosa are some teas you might want to consider. They differ in mechanisms of action, but work to attain a common goal – anxiety relief.
These are some of the lot I found useful. I ll include a link in the resource box for a more thorough list in case you are interested. Nevertheless, give the techniques some time to reveal their full anxiolytic potential. Although you may and will feel some relief initially, it will get better the longer you practice it.
