Is Valium going to make me sleepy and do I have to take it?

I’m having all four of my wisdom teeth removed and my doctor said he’ll put me to sleep, but my question is if I don’t take the Valium before the procedure can I still be put under anesthesia?

    Why are you having all 4 wisdom teeth removed, are they all bad or are they a problem to you? if there is nothing wrong with them then leave them alone also, I have never heard of anyone having to take valium before having an anaesthetic, normally the anaesthetic is enough to make a person unconscious long enough to remove teeth. If the valium are white, they are 2mg if yellow, 5mg

    All the Valium will do will be to relax you a little before you go to the dentist. If you don’t take it you still will be able to be put under. I’m sure you will have someone to drive you to and from your appointment and I would suggest you will have the best experience by following your dentist’s advice and taking it. good luck with everything.
