What chemicals are imbalanced in the brain when you have anxiety?

My therapist told me the chemical that produces anxiety overloads the brain and then the other chemicals are blocked and not able to do there jobs or something like that. Can someone tell me what the chemicals are called and maybe some natural ways to take away the anxiety chemicals and replenish the other ones? Maybe a better explanation of it? I tried to look it up, but couldn’t really find what I was looking for online.

Thanks!
I looked into Seratonin if I increase that will it help the anxiety then?

My friends, family and I have personally found a lot of success with Seredyn. It’s an all-natural supplement designed to help with symptoms of anxiety and panic attacks. The main active ingredients are L-Theanine, Passion Flower, and Valerian. You can learn more about the Seredyn formula at http://www.seredyn.com/formula.html

Here’s a link that talks about how Seredyn works – http://www.seredyn.com/index_works.html

Try Google-ing “Alternative Medication for Anxiety” – It seems like there’s some good info there about how to naturally overcome anxiety symptoms without prescription medications.

Start there and continue learning about different alternatives. Everyone’s different, so the best long-term approach is to continuing to educate yourself and find what works best for you.

Hopefully this information is of some help. All the best!

You may look at the HPA axis (hypothalamus, pituitary, adrenal) and the way the HPA hormones interact. Also serotonin and 5HIAA disorders.
Often times, chronic stress can deplete the adrenal gland and it can become chronic. I hear that fish oil (like eating fatty fish like mackeral and kipper fish) as well as dark greens like kale and also mixed whole grains such as kashi can help this. Also, morning sun and walking regularly can help.
Still, anti anxiety meds are really useful…but mostly they don’t want to give you those. Although they do work really well, such as xanax can make you feel normal (not high or sleepy) which can be a blessing.
    Yeah, anxiety sucks pretty much.
