Is anxiety considered a mental need for scholarships?
Under the college I am applying scholarships for, they ask if I have any mental needs and to please specify. Recently I was diagnosed with anxiety and have been starting the course of lexapro. I know I’m just starting, but the drug makes me feel weird and I don’t necessarily like the effects at all. It must kick in so I understand, but I am considering reevaluation of my defect to see if it may be ADHD. Either way are these considered mental needs?

I don’t think that’s the mental need that they are referring to. However, I think you should seek treatment and guidance from doctors when taking these antidepressants. No, if that were the case every college student would list it. Everyone has anxiety in college.
