Whats the difference between valium and clonazepam?

My doctor prescribed me both but they seem fairly similar. What is the difference?

Chosen Answer:

One is probably taken on a set schedule, while the other is PRN (“as needed”).

Clonazepam has a somewhat shorter half-life and is more potent on a mg/mg basis than diazepam.

Yeah that is very rare and stupid for your doctor to have prescribed both of those to you. They are basically the same, both are Benzo’s. He might have given you both because of milligrams or something. Bet one is taken on a schedule and the other as needed?
