Why is Valium addictive and why are beta blockers non addictive?

I know they are two different types of drugs but for certain reasons I am wondering the above question.
Thank you.

Chosen Answer:

Valium exerts a calming effect by boosting the action of a neurotransmitter.
This in turn activates the gratification hormone, dopamine, in the brain, and is the same ‘reward pathway’ activated by some illegal drugs.,like heroin.
Beta Blockers DO NOT activate dopamine
